We embrace our diverse community and work environment including people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background, people of diverse sexual orientation and gender, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people of varied age, ability, and faith.

We are currently working to provide a more inclusive environment for our LGBTIQA+ staff members.

The Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council is a peak body for individuals/groups from a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer multicultural background.

Rainbow Network

Rainbow Network provides opportunities for members to -

  • exchange ideas, information and resources;
  • discuss issues that may emerge when working with young people, their families, schools and community agencies;
  • learn from guest speaks
  • advocates for same sex attracted, intersex, trans* and gender diverse young people;
  • develops partnerships between agencies and schools
  • plans and develops activities for same sex attracted, intersex, trans* and gender diverse young people; and
  • engages in same sex attracted, intersex, trans* and gender diverse youth-led activities and initiatives.

The Rainbow Network publishes a regular Newsletter for subscribers containing news, events and training, resources and research, services and opportunities. Subscribe through a link at the end of the Rainbow Network website homepage.

Transgender Victoria

Transgender Victoria is dedicated to achieving justice, equity and quality health and community service provision for trans and gender diverse people, their partners, families and friends.

Intersexion

Intersexion is a documentary about intersex people which sets out to 'de-mystify' intersex.  The documentary explores how intersex people around the world navigate their way through childhood, adolescence, relationships and adulthood.

TRANS 101: Gender Diversity Crash Course

Most of us are taught the idea that everyone’s either born a boy or a girl, and expected to identify a certain way. But that actually isn’t true for everyone, and totally ignores the huge and amazing world of people who are transgender and gender diverse.
