Cash out your excess annual leave
You can apply to have up to two weeks of excess annual leave paid to you once during the life of each Enterprise Agreement.
You should seek independent financial advice prior to approaching your manager to discuss your application.
If your manager approves the request, they will instruct Organisational Development to prepare an agreement for you to sign.

Long Service Leave
Long Service Leave (LSL) can be taken at ordinary pay, half pay or at double pay.
If you take LSL at half pay, you are paid half of your ordinary pay each fortnight but take twice as much leave
- Example - You apply for 1 week of LSL. You are away from work for 2 weeks but will be paid for 1 week. One week of LSL is deducted from your leave balance.
 
If you take LSL at double pay, you are paid twice your ordinary pay each fortnight but use twice as much leave
- Example - You apply for 1 week of LSL. You are away from work for 1 week but get paid for 2 weeks. 2 weeks of LSL is deducted from you leave balance.

Council's Employee Assistance Program provider Converge International can offer you emotional support and put you in touch with Financial Counsellors and other experts to help you manage your finances.
Their Money Assist program is designed to provide financial counseling to help you work through financial wellbeing concerns.
