The E-learning courses have been developed with a high level of engagement and input from Local Government to ensure they are relevant and use language and scenarios that reflect the experience of people working in Local Government.
Each course has been checked by HR Legal to ensure commentary and references to legislation are accurate and up to date.

Who should do this training?
All new staff are required to complete all the compliance courses within their first week of employment with Council.
What are the courses?
New employees and agency staff are required to complete several eLearning the following eight induction modules
- Greater Dandenong induction
 - Child Safe Standards
 - Equal Employment Opportunity
 - Fraud and Corruption Awareness
 - Occupational Health & Safety
 - Information Privacy
 - Victorian Charter of Human Rights
 - Workplace Bullying and Harassment
 
How long will it take?
Managers will need to ensure new staff have time allocated in their first week to complete the courses. Each course is around 20 minutes (a total of approximately two hours, depending on each learner's pace). The courses are all self-paced and can be stopped and started at the learner's convenience.
Can the training only be done on a PC?
The courses can be accessed on any corporate device, i.e. PC, smartphone or tablet.
