We’re excited to share that we’ve officially completed the ERP workshop phase – and it’s all thanks to your incredible participation and commitment.
Over the past few weeks, we have completed 19 workshops with more than 120 staff who contributed their insights and experiences to inform the development of the ERP business case.
What we heard from staff
Here are the key themes that emerged from the workshops:
- Our current technology is outdated
Many of you expressed that the systems we rely on today are no longer fit for purpose. There is a strong and widespread desire for a modern, integrated ERP solution that can support our evolving needs and streamline our operations. - Existing systems don’t meet user needs
You highlighted that current configurations and integrations often fall short, creating inefficiencies and frustration. A more user-friendly, flexible, and well-integrated system is essential to support your day-to-day work. - Training and knowledge transfer are critical
We heard that the successful implementation of new systems must be accompanied by comprehensive training and effective knowledge-sharing. This is especially important for onboarding new staff and ensuring everyone can confidently use the systems available. - Communication needs to improve
We heard that communication around system changes and updates hasn’t always been timely or clear. We acknowledge this and are committed to keeping you better informed throughout the ERP journey.
What’s Happening Next
The CSS team is now moving into the next phase of the project, building on the insights gathered during the workshops:
- Finalising workshop documentation
We are currently reviewing and refining all workshop notes to ensure your feedback is accurately captured. These insights will directly inform the Business Requirements and Gap Analysis, which is scheduled for completion by mid to late July. - Launching the ERP Market Scan
We’re beginning a comprehensive scan of the ERP market to identify potential solutions that align with our business needs, technical requirements, and long-term strategic goals. - Preparing the Draft Business Case
Work is underway on a detailed business case that will outline the rationale, benefits, and investment required for the ERP solution. This draft is expected to be ready by the end of August. - Re-engaging Workshop Champions
We’re reconnecting with workshop champions to further explore manual workarounds and pain points, helping us identify areas where automation and system improvements can make a real difference. - Stay up to date on The Source
