Staff Identification

Business Cards

To place an order for business cards, see your department's administrative officer. They will place an order with Dynamite Online for you.

ID cards

All staff must have a City of Greater Dandenong ID card. This must always be worn in a visible position within the Council building.  

You can replace your photo or order a new ID card. See how to below. 

Security Pass/Keys

As part of Council's security management system, each employee is issued with a security access card to access Council's various buildings and facilities.

Staff are given the appropriate security clearance level for accessing buildings and facilities according to their specific roles and duties within the organisation.

Please follow the procedures below if you need to replace a lost or stolen security card, order a card for a new employee, or order keys for specific gates and buildings.

Business Card requirements 

You will need  the following information for your card: 

  • Full name (not all capitals) 
  • Job title and/or business unit 
  • Phone number (with correct spacing) 
  • Mobile number (if applicable) 
  • Email (use full name in email address) 

Note: 

  • All business cards have PO Box address and website address.
  • Council's fax number 8571 5196 on the card is optional 
  • Consult  the corporate style guide for correct format  
  • If you require a variation to the standard business cards, contact Media and Communications 

Purchasing Options

A purchase order is required. All prices include GST and delivery. 

Express order  

An express order is printed immediately, arrive in 3-5 days .

Cost is $82 for 250 cards or $94 for 500 cards.

Bulk order 

A bulk order is held by Dynamite Online until they receive 4 orders. They will then be printed and posted together.

Cost is $60 for 250 cards or $69 for 500 cards.

Access to Dynamite Online

New dynamite online users

If you need access to Dynamite Online to order business cards for staff in your department contact Media and Communication on ext.5283 or email news@cgd.vic.gov.au or Jenny Kurjan on ext. 5279 or email jkurja@cgd.vic.gov.au who will provide set up your log in and show you how to place an order. 

Existing users

If you have forgotten your password or log in details, contact Media and Communications at news@cgd.vic.gov.au to have it reset.

ID Card

Order a new ID card

Order your ID card with easyID. Follow the steps below.

  • Go to  www.easyid.com.au 
  • Click on left icon as existing user and enter:  Username: citygd  Password: citygd 
  • Add new record 
  • Click on Upload New Data button 
  • Enter name in fields 
  • Upload photo or drag and drop 
  • Adjust cropping, brightness or contrast as required 
  • Save and view list, or go to Next to add another record 
  • Tick the box of your record/s to submit 
  • An invoice will be received with purchase order number 

Photo for ID card 

Your photo is used for your ID card, Teams and The Source phone list and is taken with the office camera at your location.  

Photo must show head and shoulders only. 

Contact Media and Communications to borrow a camera if none available or, if you are based at the Operation Centre, contact Jo Rhys-Jones. 

Email your request and send your photo to news@cgd.vic.gov.au  

Security Pass/Keys

Please note

  • Make sure old security cards and keys are returned to Building Maintenance when staff leave the organisation
  • Spare security cards and keys will be issued for emergency purposes only
  • Security cards and keys are not transferable unless it is prearranged and the new staff's name is already registered in Councils' Security Management System. This ensures that lost cards and keys are deactivate to maintain the integrity of Council's Security Management System. Contact Building Maintenance for details.

Replace a lost/damaged security card or to change your access level

Inform Building Maintenance immediately (phone ext. 5126 or email buildingmaintenance@cgd.vic.gov.au)

Fill out the security access card request form and have it signed by your business unit manager

Send the completed and signed form to Building Maintenance via internal mail for processing 

Building Maintenance will contact you if he requires more information and your request will be process within 5 working days

Order a security pass for a new employee (To be carry out by Team Leader and/or Department PA)

Fill out the security access card request form and have it signed by business unit manager

Building Maintenance will contact you if he requires more information and your request will be process within 5 working days

Order keys, additional padlocks and alarm codes for various Council reserves, gates and building

Fill out Key/alarm code/padlock request form and have it signed by business unit manager

Building Maintenance will contact you if he requires more information and your request will be process within 5 working days

Name Badge

Badges have a white background with clear resin coating.
