You're invited to HOME25: Invisible Cities

HOME25

Following the success of the exhibition opening event on Saturday 21 June, we invite you, your family and friends to continue exploring HOME 25: Invisible Cities, running from Tuesday 24 June to Saturday 27 September, including all Saturdays.

HOME is Greater Dandenong’s arts program, established in 2016 to explore stories of migration, connection to place and belonging. The 2024 exhibition won the Victorian Multicultural Award for Excellence in Art. The 2025 iteration is a moving exploration of home, identity, belonging and dislocation, brought to life by refugee, asylum seeker, First Nations and migrant artists.

This roving exhibition is uniquely presented across multiple venues:

  • Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre (Wednesday–Saturday, 11am–3pm)
  • Drum Theatre (Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm; Saturday, 11am–3pm)
  • Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens (Wednesday–Thursday, 10am–2pm; Saturday, 11am–3pm)
  • Public spaces including Harmony Square, Palm Plaza and Dandenong Market.

All three venues are open Saturdays throughout the exhibition. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy arts and culture and perhaps continue your day at Dandenong Market for food, shopping and connection to our vibrant community.

We also invite you to take part in our enriching public programs:

Whether you're dropping by on a workday for an arty lunch break, joining a workshop or enjoying a Saturday cultural outing, there’s something creative, inspiring and heartwarming for everyone.

We hope you enjoy this compelling art and culture program and uncover the many layers of Invisible Cities through sight, sound, story and shared experience.
