IT will begin deploying Computer updates to Windows and Office from the morning of Friday 28 May. Through the course of Friday, you should see several pop-ups appearing on your screen including a request to restart. You can use your computer as normal while this is happening. You may also postpone restarting until the end of the day if you wish. Also, if you are not working on Friday, the updates should happen on your next working day.
Search Bar in Outlook has moved
After the above updates are complete, the search bar in Outlook (also Word/Excel) will move to the top making it easier to find. The search bar also incorporates more advanced “search by fields” options by default. (see the image above)
Microsoft Teams Updates
Microsoft are phasing in some cosmetic changes to Teams over the coming weeks, most notably found in the calls menu.
