Next month is Plastic Free July.
Plastic Free July began in Western Australia and has grown into a global movement, inspiring millions of people across more than 190 countries to reduce plastic pollution so we can all enjoy cleaner parks, rivers, oceans and communities.
Plastic Free July is a great opportunity to raise awareness, both within the community and at Council, about the simple, everyday actions we can take to reduce our plastic use.
Throughout July, we’ll explore the 5Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle. These principles offer practical ways to cut down on plastic in our daily lives and contribute to a healthier planet.
