Each year, Council seeks nominations from the community to recognise and reward individuals who make a positive impact in all areas of community life.
Nominations close Monday 22 September. Staff are encouraged to nominate community members or groups you have been working with who have made a positive impact within the Greater Dandenong community.
The Greater Dandenong Australia Day Award categories include:
- Community Leadership Award
- Young Leader of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Sportsperson of the Year
- Corporate Citizen of the Year
- Community Group of the Year
- Sustainability Award
- Living Treasure Award
- Outstanding Contribution to the Arts Award
Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on 26 January 2026.
