IMPACT Foodie Futures Youth Program

Two young people cooking on a stove

Youth Services are delivering a two-day hands-on experience to young people aged 16-25 years during the upcoming school holidays.

We are inviting Council staff who may have young people in their life (with a connection to Greater Dandenong) to share this valuable skill development opportunity with them. This program could be particularly interesting to those looking to learn more about food and hospitality industries and are willing to step into volunteering roles and/or find employment.

During the two days the participants will have the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited food handling certificate, participate in a Dandenong Market tour, learn culinary skills by cooking a meal from scratch and hear from a dietitian about healthy eating habits and connect with local volunteering organisations.

This interactive and engaging program will be held on Thursday 2 October and Friday 3 October and is now open for registrations. Places are limited to accommodate for the best learning experience. Tickets are heavily subsidised, allowing participants to attend for a low cost of just $20.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Youth Services team.
