Employee Experience Survey – Is it really anonymous?

staff members at a community event

The Employee Experience Survey has been open for week and we have had a great response. It’s open to all staff employed by Council, including contractors.

We are hoping for strong engagement so if you haven’t already, please complete the survey before it closes on Friday 5 September.

Anonymous? It asks for so much identifying information….

Delivered by an independent provider, the survey is completely anonymous and confidential, providing a safe space to share your experiences of working at Council.

How is it kept anonymous? There’s no recording of IP addresses. The independent provider groups all the data together and only provides it to Council in a report format. We don’t receive any individual person’s full survey response. For example, it might say, ‘Women in certain age groups are more likely to have experienced ….’ Or ‘Staff who manage other people are more likely to report …..’

We will not have data that says, ‘a woman, who is a Manager and works in Communications’ reports that …. That would be too specific and easily identify the individual. The data will only reported at a level where there at least 30 people in that group.

The survey closes 5pm, Friday 5 September.
