Council celebrates local success at the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards

The Greater Dandenong region has once again affirmed its reputation as the manufacturing heart of Victoria, with nine local businesses and individuals earning finalist positions in the prestigious 2025 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.

Council congratulates last night's winners:

  • Leaders in Gender Equality and Inclusion - A.W. Bell (Dandenong South)
  • Leaders in Transport and Rail - Volgren (Dandenong South)
  • Large Manufacturer of the Year - Alstom (Dandenong South)
  • Honour Roll, Service to Industry awarded to Dr Jane Opeinheim, Ego Pharmaceuticals

The winners were announced on Thursday 9 October at the Palladium in Melbourne Council’s CEO Jacqui Weatherill, the Executive and Business Development and Investment team members were there to celebrate the successes of our region.  

The finalists from Greater Dandenong included:

  • A.W. Bell (Dandenong South)
  • Alstom (Dandenong South)
  • Felipe Pereira Cabral – Uneek Bending (individual nominee)
  • Jane Oppenheim – Ego Pharmaceuticals (individual nominee)
  • Nissan Casting Australia Plant
  • Rita Palomba – Alstom (individual nominee)
  • Timber Building Systems (Dandenong South)
  • Uneek Bending (Dandenong South)
  • Volgren (Dandenong South)
