Greater Dandenong changed providers in 2025 and moved to a door knocking approach rather than the telephone survey previously conducted. Our new provider does the survey for 19 metropolitan Councils including some of our neighbours such as Kingston, Frankston and Cardinia.
As Jacqui reported in a recent CEO update email, we saw fantastic results this year. We scored highest of all 19 Melbourne metro participants in 2025 for overall satisfaction with Council with a score of 7.5/10. This is also the equal highest score Metropolis have recorded in their 25 years of conducting this survey.
We outperformed the metropolitan average in most areas of performance including community services, communication, planning and building, and recreation and culture. We were way above the Melbourne metro average for Customer Service.
This is a testament to all of the incredible work our staff do across every department, and everyone should be particularly proud.
