Did you know that one in five people in Greater Dandenong live below the poverty line?
The Anti-Poverty Consortium, supported by Greater Dandenong City Council is working to change this. We’ve already invested over $10 million in local anti-poverty efforts, but long-term solutions need stronger support from all levels of government.
If you live and work in Dandenong, your voice is especially powerful.
We’re asking staff who are also local residents to take a few minutes to support this vital advocacy campaign.
How you can help:
- Send the pre-written email to your local MP. The recipient details are already filled in, just add your name and click send!
- Add a personal message or story if you’d like.
- Encourage your friends, family or neighbours to do the same.

The more local voices our leaders hear, the stronger our case for real, lasting change. Let’s use our collective voice to push for better funding and support for our community.
