On Monday 23 June Council adopted the key strategic documents which will guide us over the next four years.
For the past 18 months there have been many consultation activities to help us develop these documents. Over 3,300 community members participated in these activities, along with staff, to share what was most important to them. This feedback was then used to draft our key priorities and set the direction for Council.
The following documents were adopted and are now available on Council’s website:
- Community Vision 2040 (unchanged from 2021)
- Council Plan 2025-29 (including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan)
- Annual Plan 2025-26
- Budget 2025-26
- Revenue and Rating Plan 2025-29
- Long Term Financial Plan 2026-35
- Asset Plan 2025-35
The documents form part of our Integrated Planning Framework and are required by the Local Government Act 2020. The Council Plan highlights our strategic direction whilst the additional documents support its ongoing delivery.
All staff are encouraged to familiarise themselves with these documents and reflect on the role they can play in the success of the Council Plan while continuing to deliver quality services to our community. Each and every one of us has an important role to play in achieving our community’s vision to create a city that is a home to all.
