Greater Dandenong City Council recently shared an update on plans for the demolition of the Precinct Energy Plant (PEP) on Halpin Way in central Dandenong with businesses nearby the building. Please see the message below:
We want to update you on plans for the demolition of the Precinct Energy Plant on Halpin Way in central Dandenong.
Council has now appointed a contractor for the demolition and work will commence soon.
The contractor is currently designing the method for the demolition to ensure it is a safe process with as little disruption as possible.
We are working with the contractor to confirm the start date. We will share details such as hours of operation and any traffic or pedestrian disruptions as soon as we know them.
Our focus remains on the safe demolition of the Precinct Energy Plant with the least disruption for surrounding building owners, businesses and people who work, study and visit the area.
