Volunteer leave is offered to staff who commit to volunteering their time and services to a registered, not-for-profit organisation in our community.
The leave is available to full-time and part-time employees. Casual employees or volunteers engaged through Council's Volunteers program are ineligible.
It provides for up to one day of paid leave for full-time staff. For part-time staff, pro-rata payment is made for the hours they would have been rostered to work that day.
A Statement of Attendance signed by a representative of the host organisation must be submitted for payment to be made.
