Guidelines for using catering services
It is not always appropriate to use Council funds to cater for a function or meeting, and different levels of catering standards may be required for different events. To assist you in making the decision as to whether catering is required for your function, a panel of representatives from Civic Facilities and Contracts has developed a set of guidelines on this topic. This information has been endorsed by the Executive Team.

Ordering catering
Civic Facilities is the contract manager for all catering and must be informed of use of catering services. Whether you arrange catering through them or organise it yourself, you must complete the Catering feedback form.
Local business unit functions at which staff bring in food are not included in this contract. However, those who supply food for others should follow safe food handling practices at all times to ensure that no one is exposed to any risk.
Approved list of caterers
If the event is being paid for by Council, the contract number for catering is 2122-51.
If asked, caterers will provide cultural and other food requirements eg halal, vegetarian, gluten free.Council has contracts with the following:
