Digital Platform Standards

The core of Council’s business is providing day to day delivery of important services to our community. The ‘how’ of this service delivery takes many forms, but ultimately all goals, projects and plans flow back to this central mission.

Councils, like most businesses and service providers are rethinking, planning and investing in the growth of their digital capacities as the demand for digitalised service options rises.

While addressing expanding digital services is required, there is another side to the digital transformation equation; developing the digital capacity and literacy of the staff, communities and stakeholders who use (or do not use) the shiny new technology. With these Digital standards and our IT and Digital Strategy 2020-2025, we are joining other forward thinking organisations and working to better both sides of the coin.

Our 11 digital platform standards inform and guide all the digital work we do at Council. By upholding these standards in our daily work, we are actively working towards a smarter, more digitally enabled future for our community and staff. In doing so, we are also setting an example, while maintaining transparency and accessibility.
