Greater Dandenong City Council acknowledges and pays respects to the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters in and around Greater Dandenong.

Consultation with Bunurong Land Council

Council actively engages and consults our Traditional Custodians the Bunurong Land Council, in relation to all council matters pertaining to Bunurong Country, Culture and Community.

Council has monthly consultations with the Bunurong Land Council, to support embedding self-determination, meaningful engagement and partnership with the Bunurong Land Council, as Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which Greater Dandenong sits. The reconciliation Plan (RAP) Advocate is the central point within Council, in the coordination and chairing of all consultations.

To book a traditional ceremony such as a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony or Cultural Talks please use the below form.

How to make a booking

1. Raise a PO for the requested costings. Make sure you add GST to BLCAC price listings.

2. Complete above booking form and make sure you include the following details:

  • Principal contact - person responsible for the booking and who will be at the event.
  • Billing details - Financial services and person making booking. Provide both email addresses to Bunurong.
  • Purchase order number - please ask for it to be included on the invoice with details of the event and contact person.
  • Sub account code - enter sub account code 1819.
  • Copy in both Siobhan and Fran when emailing the booking form to Culturalceremonies@bunuronglc.org.au.

3. Match and approve PO when it appears in your Computron queue.
