Staff are invited to submit news articles, staff events and other items that could be of interest to the organisation.

The deadline for Source eNewsletter articles is 4pm, Thursday.

Please remember that you must submit your articles via Objective.

How to submit an article for The Source Weekly News

Note: If you do not have Objective access you can email your article to news@cgd.vic.gov.au. Please DO NOT email your article if you can use Objective. If you have access to Objective, the only way to have your article included is to save it in the correct folder.

1. Click this link to Objective to access The Source News folder.
2. Once open, locate the file divider for the edition you want your article added to.
3. Add your article as an email, Word document, etc to this file divider. If you are submitting a document that is already saved in Objective, please move the original to The Source file and put an alias into your folder (as your folder may not be available to other staff if its original location is hidden or your Handy).

Some important notes 

• When submitting an article please do more than just drop a flyer or a random document into Objective. Make sure all of the important information is included and ask yourself "Does this sound interesting? Would I want to read this article? Would it make sense to someone else?" If the answer is "no" then you might need to rewrite it!
• If your submission is for Pats on the Back, please provide the full name of the staff member that it relates to. Please also ensure you provide any feedback as text and not as a scanned document, otherwise you will be asked to provide it in text before it is included.
• If you want your article to run for more than one week, please put an alias to the original article in the file divider for each week you would like it to run, otherwise we will assume it is only to be run on that week.
• Please add any images as high-resolution separate files labelled with a similar name to the article.

If you do not submit your article this way then it will not be run (with the exception of staff who don't have Objective access who can send them to news@cgd.vic.gov.au).
