How much notice do I need to give?
You need to give notice in accordance with Council's Enterprise Agreement (see below).
If you don't give the appropriate notice, Council has the right to withhold some monies from your final pay. Refer to the Enterprise Agreement, Clause 18.1 for further information.

What do I need to give my manager?
You must inform your manager in writing that you intend resigning.
Will I be asked to do an exit interview?
A link to an online Exit Interview will be emailed to you automatically. If you do not use a computer, a hard copy of the survey will be mailed to you by OD.
Completing an Exit Interview is not compulsory.
You can request a face-to-face exit interview with a team member from Organisational Development.

What do supervisors/managers need to do when an employee resigns?
- Immediately send the employee's formal resignation letter/email to Payroll to ensure the employees final pay is not delayed.
- Payroll will start an online form that will initiate an acceptance of resignation letter hat will be emailed to the supervisor/manager for approval and then automatically emailed to the resigning employee.
- Once the above online workflow is complete, the supervisor/manager will receive an email with a link to complete an online separation checklist. This is to be completed on or before the employees final working day. If this form is not completed by close of business of the employees final working day, the employees final termination pay can be delayed.
