One Greater Dandenong – Implementation Plan October 2025

The shift to One Greater Dandenong has begun with implementation activities underway, and a planned go-live date on Monday 20 October 2025.

Moving from the foundational Reshaping Greater Dandenong to providing a more integrated, customer centric service as One Greater Dandenong, the re-alignment of our organisation is designed to achieve four key outcomes:

  • Strengthening collaboration across teams
  • Clarifying roles and accountability
  • Better connecting strategy, service delivery and digital innovation
  • Sustainable use of resources.

It will also help us all deliver on the new Council Plan and related strategies.

Whether or not you are directly impacted by the changes, while we go through the implementation process, it’s business as usual. Keep doing the amazing work you do to support our community and each other, while we put in place the necessary actions to accomplish a smooth implementation.

What does the new structure look like?

Thank you to all those who provided feedback regarding the proposed structure. It was mature, constructive, thoughtful and caring.

After a great deal of discussion and lots of consideration given to the suggestions by staff, we have landed on a final structure.
