All Council employees and volunteers are required to complete the mandatory online Child Safety Standards training via Pulse.
This training will provide you with an understanding of:
- Child Safe Standards
- Council Responsibilities
- Council’s commitments to the Child Safe Standards
- Reportable Conduct Scheme
- Child Safety Laws
- Recognising Signs of Child Abuse
- Your Responsibilities
- Child Safety Reporting Process
When you have completed the online induction, you should:
- Have and understanding of the standards and your responsibilities
- Be able to identify suspected child abuse
- Make a report
- Be able to access the support for yourself
In addition, a 10–20-minute face to face induction is provided to complement the online induction.
Additional training on child safety leadership and child safety risk management plans or tailored child safety training for volunteers and specific teams can be requested at any time by contacting the Council’s Child Safety Compliance Officer.
